Each conference room in LIDS building 32 space features a Vibe board. These can act as external displays for a computer, as a digital whiteboard, or as a remote conferencing setup with camera, microphone, and speakers (in 775A and 707 only).
External display
To use Vibe boards as an external display, follow the written instruction guides in the room.
File sharing/screen mirroring
You can also wirelessly drop files or mirror your screen. The board's home screen displays the name of the wireless network, along with instructions.
Video conferencing
To meet with remote participants over Zoom or Teams, sign in to the board as a guest, start your meeting app, and join an existing meeting. During this process, you might see windows pop up asking you to authorize access to the board's camera and microphone.
Digital Whiteboard
Use the Canvas app to either present and markup documents to people in the room, or collaborate with remote participants using the board as a digital whiteboard. Upload your file to the board and open it from within the Canvas app. You can also invite remote participants to the app if you'd like them to be able to markup documents or write on the canvas as well. You can either invite people by using an email address, or send a code that would allow anyone using it to join as an anonymous guest.
If you plan on using these boards frequently, creating and using a Vibe account would probably make things easier. You could then store files and login information that could be accessed by any board.
